You’ve spent long and busy months planning the wedding of your dreams, but there’s just one thing you have left to do. You have to get there.
If you’re not sure where to get started when planning transportation, it’s best to sit down and figure out all of the places where you’ll need to go. You have to get the bridal party to the venue. You also have to get your parents and your future husband’s parents to the ceremony. Then you’ll have to get the wedding party to the reception (And yourselves, of course) after you’ve all taken pictures. Lastly, you and your groom will need to get from the reception to the hotel, airport, or wherever it is you’re going before you leave for your honeymoon.
You can take a car, or the traditional stretch limousine to the reception, but there’s always the romantic, fairy tale, option of a horse-drawn carriage. What if you’re both motorcycle lovers and you want to leave the reception on a Harley Davidson? That’s okay too! Not everyone is going to be able to travel to each venue together because there simply won’t be enough room. Therefore, if you want to have the bridal party transported in a limo, but you and your husband want to leave the reception in an old fashioned car, then go for it.
When you are choosing the travel method that fits your wedding best, remember your budget. Transportation isn’t always inexpensive so make sure to save a little bit of money in your wedding budget so that you can have the transportation that you want.
Once you choose a transportation company, you will most likely be presented with some sort of form and contract. Make sure that you know exactly what your agreement states and that the contract includes the correct prices, the right times for pick-up, and anything else that you might have had to arrange.
Once transportation is arranged, make sure everyone in the bridal party is aware of the details.
